Elden Ring is known for its difficult pursuit and complex setting. A game designed to challenge the player’s capabilities surely won’t allow them to earn runes like a piece of cake. Whether the player is on the first level or even an expert, it is always in need of runes to upgrade its status and buy weapons or gears, etc. All of these items make its profile strong.
In order to make a fortune, the players have hopped on to various approaches. Amongst these methods, tracking down the sleeping dragons to kill them is comparatively easier for earning lots of runes.
The dragons have been rooted out in earlier stages of Elden Ring and remained quite infamous in the gaming community. The reason is their behavior; these dragons won’t move or react when the player attacks and ultimately kills them. The time period for splashing them depends upon the type of weapon the player is using.
However, before deciding which type of accouterments will be efficient and time-saving or how the runes will be spent, the first step is to pinpoint the location of those precious sleepy dragons.
Location of Sleeping Dragons
The reddish terrain located in the east of Limgrave, i.e., Caelid, is the home to sleeping dragons. It is the most treacherous region in Elden Rings, inhabited by General Starscourge Radahn and other fatal combatants that can have the proficiency of tearing the player away in a few strikes.
These dragons can be found in the midst of this region, right to the south of the Minor Erd tree that is located prior to the northern edge of Caelid protruding into water. After Fort Faroth are the sleeping dragons. There is also a Site of Grace nearby the Fort. It’s advantageous if players have gone through this point earlier. If not, they will have to bear passing from Siofra Well in Limgrave.
In the second scenario, players will emerge in Caelid at the Deep Siofra River Well Site of Grace once they have reached the subsurface end of Siofra. The sleeping dragon, also known as Elder Dragon Greyoll, can be found by taking a short trip straight east by this Grace.
What to Do after Tracking Down “The Sleeping Dragons”?
The dragon’s health falls briskly when bleed is applied; sticking up to this technique will aid in killing Greyoll with ease. For this purpose, hemorrhaged weapons can be used or sharpen the artilleries before aggravating the bleed. These measures will kill them in a shorter period of time. However, if the player lacks the appropriate weapons, it can bring to use the alternatives such as poison, frostbite, and scarlet rot. Consequently, the process will be time-consuming.
Another way to eliminate Greyoll is by killing the dragons surrounding it. These are its kid, and with the death of each of these five dragons, Greyoll’s health will decline by a factor of 1/5th. When the health bar shrinks completely with the death of all of them, the player will be rewarded 74,000 runes. Moreover, the player can also exchange the Greyoll’s dragon heart at the Cathedral of Dragon Communion in Limgrave.
