Introduction
The world of Pokémon is huge and long-winded, with Pokémon exceeding more than 1000. The ecosystem of Pokémon is filled with different kinds, types, and shapes based on their stats and usefulness.
With more than 1000 of these Pokémon, we will list down all Fish Pokémon throughout all the generations with a little description in this article. They cannot necessarily be all water types, but most of the fish-shaped Pokémon will be discussed.
Fish Pokémon, How Many are there?
Till now, eight Pokémon series have been introduced, and all of them contain up to 43 fish-like Pokémon as of yet.
Although the ninth Pokémon series is about to be introduced, it is anticipated that it might also have some Fish-like Pokémon as well.

Horsea

Description
Horsea anchors itself strongly on the rock bed of the ocean when water currents get sturdier. It uses its tail to escape the strong currents and avoid being slipped away in the water.
This Pokémon swims by creating waterspouts and also uses it as a source of entertainment with its congeners.
In a threatening situation, Horsea releases dense black ink from its tube-shaped mouth while creating a powerful thrust of water to swim away at a high pace.
Its potent dorsal fins help it in high-speed swimming and let it swim backwards while moving forward.
Horsea is notorious for bringing down flying bugs by striking ink from the water’s surface.
Seadra

Description
This Pokémon’s only aim is to gain as much strength as possible. Seadra can throw a powerful water shoot with a precise target.
It can target high-paced objects in motion with a point accuracy which helps her in bringing down other insects.
As an aggressive Pokémon, Seadra is always angry and throws water strokes at any human that tries to come in contact.
If another Pokémon tries to attack Seadra from range, it gets poisoned. This Pokémon has a very sharp dorsal fin.
Kingdra

Description
It is the second generation of Pokémon and the final of the horse line evolution.
It evolves from Seadre when it gets combined with a Dragon Scale. Kindgra has a serpent-like body with a crown-like head and a tough, scaly body.
These scales work as armor to protect against attacks. Kingdra is known for its Dragon Pulse, an exclusive water maneuver that can overwhelm its opposing party.
Dragon Pulse is a strong thrush of energy that can impart severe damage to opponents. It can also perplex its enemies by making strong water waves and waterspouts.
Goldeen

Description
Goldeen can be found abundantly in lagoons and rivers and has a very delicate, beautiful appearance.
Despite the beauty, this Pokémon’s strength is unquestionable. It can bring down the opponent in one hit with its powerful withering stroke.
Goldeen is also famously named “Queen of the Water” because of the elegance and beauty of its fins.
Although they casually swim in school and have a preference for free swimming arenas, if one of them is put in the confined aquarium, it has the strength to shatter the glass with its head horn.
Goldeen is mostly found in freshwater but can be kept in salt water by trainers without causing any damage to its health.
It is a very fast swimmer but can be kept easily on dry lands as it cannot fight there.
Although it is a very nonviolent Pokémon, it has great strength to safeguard its territory.
Goldeen is a very sharp swimmer and uses its head horn for protection and defense.
Seaking

Description
Seaking is a descendant of Goldeen, the Golden Carp. It uses its head horn to excavate a nest to lay down its eggs.
This Pokémon is very sensitive to its eggs and family and uses its horn to attack.
Both males and females of this Pokémon take turns to guard the nest and their laid eggs for at least a month.
Both genders can be differentiated based on their horn sizes, as female’s horns are smaller in size.
It can easily attack anyone that comes closer to its breeding area and can become very aggressive.
Seaking can grow at a much faster track in a short span of time to reach the highest levels, as it does not need experience.
Few trainers prefer Goldeen over Seaking for its elegance and higher ability to learn attacks.
Magikarp

Description
Magikarp is a predecessor to the great Gyarados, although this Pokémon is considered very hopeless and of no use. But it will, later on, be evolved into Gyarados, which become one of the strongest Pokémon in the ecosystem.
The only noticeable feature of Magikarp is Splash, and without any reason, it jumps and splashes. A docile Pokémon that mostly gets preyed on survives every harsh condition and has great determination and perseverance.
Gyarados / Mega Gyarados

Description
An evolved version of Magikarp, Gyarados is a flying type water Pokémon that comes forth as the most iconic and strong Pokémon of the generation.
Its strong pair of pectoral and dorsal fins help it in fast-paced flying and swimming.
It intimidates its enemies with strong, sharp fangs and jaws.
In a combat situation, Gyarados is a very intimidating enemy with its exclusive Hydro Pump move. This Pokémon comes with a high attack stat and a good enough Special attack which makes the enemies fear Gyarados.
It has an extremely aggressive streak but turns out to be very devoted to its trainers. Its evolutionary blueprint from a hopeless Magikarp to a Might Gyarados is a symbol of growth and transformation that every trainer wishes to have.
Chinchou

Description
Chinchou is a deep water Pokémon which is accustomed to living in darkness and uses its antennae to communicate with the rest of its kind through electricity waves and bioluminescence.
The antennae are positive and negative charged poles that generate an electric charge for communication.
Chinchou uses these electrical charges to generate underwater electric strikes to numb the enemies with it. Due to this feature, it is also used as bait to attract prey regardless of their size.
These electrically charged ways, when get combined with the pack of Chinchou, generate very strong underwater rays.
They can get easily manipulated due to their joyful nature but this can result in very dangerous consequences.
Although they can walk on dry lands with their tiny limbs but can get dehydrated very quickly. So they have slim chances of surviving without water for longer.
Lanturn

Description
Also known as “Star of the High Seas”, and shares similarities in looks, hunting attitude, and living conditions with abyssal / hook fish.
It has an uneven pair of antennae that illuminate in the dark. The orbs of these antennae are home to bacterial colonies whose chemical reactivity generates electric charge and light.
When the group of Lnaturn sits together at the bottom of the sea bed appears to be a starry sky and disorients the opponents.
It can dive to 5 km depth following its prey in the sea, and Lumineon is its biggest rival in the surrounding.
Qwilfish
Inspired Fish: Pufferfish
Color: Blue and green

Description
Based on a pufferfish, Qwilfish has a round body with puffy lips and a spiky body. It fills itself with water and then consumes water pressure to strike an attack by bringing out its spikes.
The attack is most commonly known as Pin Missile. The attack’s speed and strength are highly dependent on the amount of water this Pokémon swallows.
The spherical shape of this Pokémon makes it a weak swimmer. It also uses this ability to move away from the enemy as quickly as it can.
Remoraid

Description
An unusual-looking Pokémon that spends most of its time sticking to a Mantine. They prefer swimming around in big groups.
They are very dependent by nature and always follow the lead of another Remaroid, a Mantine, or an Octillery, which makes them very obedient Pokémon for trainers.
It uses Ice-type attacks making sculptures to keep the enemies away. It can target an enemy from a distance of at least 100 meters. It uses these attacks to free the surrounding from suspected enemies.
Surskit and Masquerain are its sworn enemies.
It uses water from its mouth and removes it through its gills to gain pace while swimming.
The most unusual fact about this Pokémon’s transformation is that it evolves into a Mollusk, which is a Cephalopod.
It evolves into a completely different Pokémon and does not retain any similar characteristics from its original existence except its being a water type.
Mantine

Description
Due to its large surface area and flat shape, it can swim at a high pace. Remoraid stays with it as a cleaner fish and is a very peaceful Pokémon.
When in aggressive mode, it comes forward with its huge body. As one of the heftiest, it can float 100 meters high into the water.
To reach down, it uses airwaves and uses it to its advantage, being hefty.
The two black spots on its back appear as eyes, which can be very intimidating for others, especially predators.
Carvanha

Description
Carvanha is a violent Pokémon that lives in huge groups and can bring ships down as they attack in big groups in an extremely violent way.
This Pokémon has strong and sharp jaws and rough skin that can e deadly for enemies.
Carvanha has swift swimming abilities that too without making a sound in water. Initially spawning in the tropical jungle rivers, but now they have extended everywhere in the sea.
With such violent behavior, Carvanha is pro at ambushing enemies with its powerful jaws capable of tearing down solid steel.
Sharpedo

It is an evolved version of Carvanha and shares a similar violent streak and natural habitat.
Sharpedo does not harm everyone until or unless it wants to!
It hunts very rarely in groups and mostly comes out as a lone hunter. They disintegrate once they are done attacking big specimens.
Wailmer

Wailmer is a fun-loving Pokémon that loves to go out and bounce on the sand like a ball o sunny days.
It has an affectionate presence and can be very loyal to protect its trainer.
Wailord

Description
Wailord hunts with its congeners and can jump and splash water just to intimidate their enemies.
Their jumps can reach up to a great height and can cause serious damage when falling back due to their huge body.
This Pokémon loves to swim around with open jaws to capture as much food as possible.
They can gulp down a whole bunch of Wishiwashi with their humongous mouths.
Their numbers in the sea have to be kept under control as they are a great danger to fish growth.
At times Wailmer, the ancestral Pokémon of Wailord, gets tailed by Sharpedo, and to protect it against it whole bunch of Wailord stands together.
The biggest rival of Wailord is Dhelmise.
Barboach

Description
This Pokémon comes with sensitive whiskers serving as radar to receive messages and pin the prey’s location regardless of how muddy the water gets.
It burrows itself under mud, waiting for the prey’s arrival, leaving out its whiskers to keep a tab.
These whiskers also act as a tongue to taste food and also smell different odors. With their specialized nerve endings, whiskers are multifaceted.
A slippery outer surface helps Barboach to escape dangerous situations.
Whiscash

Description
Living in lake bottoms, this Pokémon has a likeness for mud. Evolved from barboach it has immunity against electric attacks.
They are known for great land resistance and can spend a considerable amount out of the water to move across lakes at night.
Evolved yellow whiskers are used to take signals of water currents and prey movement. Also, these whiskers can detect earthquakes.
Due to their long life, they can be found in huge sizes and are hundreds of years old.
It creates strong earthquakes as protection against enemies.
Feebas

Description
This Pokémon can survive in both fresh and salt water, thus good at adaptability. Due to its slow pace, it can easily fall prey.
Considering its features, Feebas is considered the ugliest of all Pokémon. But later on, its Milotic version comes out as one of the most good-looking Pokémon.

Huntail

Huntail prefers the warm seas of the southern side where no light reaches the depth.
Although it floats like a snake but is not a pro swimmer, it appeals to its prey by using its illuminating tail spots and engulfs it as soon as it gets close enough.
Huntail appearance on the beach surface is considered a bad omen.
Gorebyss

Description
Gorebyss lives in the deep southern seas and is accustomed to bearing higher water pressure at deeper levels.
This Southside Pokémon, regardless of its harmless cylindrical appearance, brings down its prey in a very cruel manner.
Ramming its thin sucker-like mouth into the body of its prey, slurping out every ounce of fluid it, leaving its prey to sink and be eaten by other Deepwater Pokémon.
Relicanth

Description
It is believed to be evolved from a long-lost fish species covered with thick scales and a fat layer; the Pokémon has the strength to bear high water pressure in the depths of the sea bed.
It lacks teeth thus, it preys on the deep water microorganisms.
Luvdisc

An elegant and beautiful Pokémon, also named “Beautifly of the Sea”, is found abundantly in salt and freshwater sources.
In freshwater, they live alone, but in the sea, they are seen living in huge schools.
The fishtail radiates beautiful lights out of its tail pattern when sunlight hits the body.
Lumineon

Description
This Pokémon is the descendant of Finneon and is well-known for its beautiful wings, like fins that bring beauty and glory to it.
Lumineon is a very smart Pokémon, which makes it difficult to catch. It attacks by casting wind attacks shaking air with its huge fins, which appear like wings.
It reflects light from the light blue areas of its fins made by the neon cells in there.
Mantyke

Description
This Pokémon glides through the water due to its kite-like shape and feeds by absorbing and filtering water.
Mantyke uses its antennae to keep a watch of the water currents and uses its body to camouflage in the sea.
Basculin

Description
This Pokémon has a very violent and aggressive streak. Especially the Red and Blue Striped versions can end up killing each other if they enter each other’s territory.
The same colored Basculins stay together in groups.
White Striped ones turn out to be only a region-based mutation that does not share the same aggressive behavior.
Alomomola

Tynamo

Description
This Pokémon can generate electric waves, especially when threatened.
When grouped, these waves become extra deadly, making shock waves to keep predators at bay.
Tynamo is found in deep, dark caves and mostly found in groups, so getting hands on a single one is impossible.
Elektrik

Description
Elektrik is a very violent and voracious type of Pokémon that surrounds its prey and attaches its markings on its body to generate electric shock to numb their bodies.
It preys, attacks, and paralyzes numerous organisms daily.
Elecktross

Body Features: Electricity-generating Suction Cup in mouth, fang

Description
Elektross is the final evolution of Tynamo when it gets exposed to a Thunderstone.
It can be mostly seen in seas, where it can stay on the surface for some time.
On drylands, it uses its lower fins that work as limbs and catches its prey on the mainland.
Once it catches the prey, it holds its mouth’s suction cup to hold the prey and electrocutes it to stun it.
When paralyzed, it sinks its fangs into the prey’s body and takes them back into the water to consume.
Stunfisk
Inspired Fish: Flounder / Electric Ray / Electric Trap
Color: Light brown,
Body Features: Flat body, darker outline, Yellow exclamation mark on body and tail,
Special Feature: Static Sand Veil, Limber Sand Veil, Stunfisk.
Description
It lives in swamps or wetlands on coasts. Stalking its enemies and electrocuting anyone that poses a threat.
Stunfisk generates electric current due to the bacteria living in the gut.
Its skin is very strong and can take anything without flinching.
Skrelp
Inspired Fish: Common Sea Dragon
Color: Brown

Description
Skrelp hides by camouflaging among seaweeds to safeguard itself from the bigger Pokémon while bottling up the electric energy to save.
