By Roche in the Temerian Partisan Hideout after completing the’Get Junior’ Pursuit.

Note: If you’ve got the’A Deadly Plot’ quest in your log but haven’t yet begun it and possess’Brothers in Arms: Novigrad’ as your active quest, Roche will be found at the Passiflora brothel in Novigrad. Following the scene in the brothel, he will be at the camp .

You will find that Roche has returned to his camp afterwards helping you during the’Get Junior’ pursuit. Head over here and have a chat with him during the conversation you can ask him about his difficulty to start the side-quest.

Exit the camp and Quick traveling to Hanged Man’s Tree. Talk to Roche who’s standing nearby.

After a brief dialogue, fighting will break out in the local village. You will want to hightail it over here as Ves will be assaulted. She will receive a gym on the left side of this screen and whether or not it depletes completely, she’ll die and you’re going to fail the pursuit.

Note: If Ves expires, you will fail this quest and will even be not able to sponsor Roche and Ves (obviously) to get Kaer Morhen and will be then not able to complete’Brothers in Arms: Novigrad’ AND miss out on the’Full Crew’ Achievement/trophy.

As neglecting this quest can have consequences down the line, it’s necessary that you keep Ves alive. Because it is the case, enter town and ignore the very first group of four which approaches (or dispatch them quickly) and find the second group of bad guys further in town focused on Ves. Prioritise engaging and murdering those in close proximity to Ves.

Once you’ve killed all of them, a scene will play during which you can make a fast choice. So far as I can tell, there is no real effects either way. This may end the pursuit.

Note: At this point, you’ll earn 50XP.

Now that we have finished Roche’s job, we can now return to him in his camp and ask him to head to Kaer Morhen to complete’Brothers in Arms: Novigrad’.
