Introduction
It is very important to prevent your Chromebook from unauthorized people because pressing Ctrl + Shift + qq will log out all your accounts. Also, it will close your unsaved work without any warning.
However, it is unfortunate to disclose that there is no shortcut to turn off Ctrl + Shift + qq on School Chromebook; however, the Ctrl key could be temporarily disabled only when Chromebook is unlocked.
How to temporarily disable Ctrl + Shift + qq?
The following are the steps to temporarily turn off Ctrl + Shift + qq On School Chromebook:
Step # 1: Click on the ‘white circle’ at the left-bottom of the Chromebook desktop. It will then display the menu. Now you may press the Search key or Launcher key on the left side of the keyboard.
Step # 2: Now, click ‘Settings’ on the first option in the pop-up menu. The setting icons look like gear.
Step # 3: In the settings menu, you may click ‘Device’ now. It is situated at the left menu panel. The device menu icon looks like a computer.
Step # 4: After that, click ‘Keyboard’ under the device menu. It is positioned at the second option.
Step #5: There is a drop-down menu for Ctrl, Alt, Search, Backspace and Escape buttons. You have to click the drop-down menu lies next to ‘Ctrl’.
Step # 6: Select ‘Disabled’. It is positioned in the last option in the drop-down menu for Ctrl. It will then disable all keyboard shortcuts for the Ctrl key.
Step # 7: Or, if you don’t want to disable the overall Ctrl functions, you may lock your Chromebook before leaving somewhere. It will prevent others from logging you out of your Google account.
