Playing games in a team or with our best friends can be lots of fun. You can chat while you play, go on adventures together and have shared memories to laugh about later…but what about the not-so-fun aspects of playing in a group or team? If you’re a part of a squad or battalion, you’re responsible for the players to your left and right: you’re all there to look out for each other and have each other’s backs when a battle situation or an infiltration gets real.
If you’re part of a racing team and you make a mistake on the track, that team’s failure will be at least partly your fault. Let’s say you’re a very experienced gamer who likes to move quickly through side quests and tasks and get on with the main storyline, but your team contains one or more players who are new to gaming or the game and are slowing you down. Everyone was new once, but that doesn’t mean you should play in a situation where you feel frustrated and held back! Why don’t you try playing some single-player games instead of always playing in a team?
There’s a wealth of single player games out there, so don’t worry about having minimal options. You could play brain trainer games like Sudoku or Wordle, online slots UK (if you’re a UK citizen or living here), or traditional video games, if that’s more up your alley. We’ve curated a selection of our top ten favourite single-player video games of all time to keep you in options and entertained for as long as it takes to finish playing every single game!
