In Elden Ring, players fairly stumble across some mystical and eccentric NPCs and demigods. The ego is welled up in these ferocious creatures, so they won’t take a second to insult you for your low profile and maiden-less “status.” Well, the joke is on them. Varre, to accomplish his questline, asks you to bring the blood of a maiden. To the white-faced Varre, I mean no offense, but where are your maidens now?
Varre’s Quest:
- Go to Liurnia’s southwest side. As you travel further, you’ll come across wetlands and several Albinuaric foes
- The White-Faced, Varre can be found at the Rose Church in the Liurnia of Lakes
- He will wait for you to stop and speak with him right outside. He will inquire regarding the Two Fingers and assess your opinions after conversing with you
- Pick the option of “they didn’t seem right” during the chat to receive the reward of 5 Festering Bloody Fingers
- Use these rotting, bleeding fingers to infiltrate other players’ virtual worlds
- Return to Varre after using three of the rotting, bloody fingers. He will be happy and enlist you in the army of Mohg, the Lord of Blood
- You will enjoy the goodwill of the Lord of Blood. He will request that you soak the handkerchief in the maiden’s blood when you speak with him again
Where to Look for Maiden Blood?
- To access the maiden’s blood, quickly make the journey towards the Church of Inhibition. On the church’s roof is a dead maiden, but this area causes insanity, so be cautious
- Be quick to save your game at the Site of Grace closest to you
- Alternatively, a portal can be used to access the Chapel of Anticipation
- Make your way to Four Belfries. You require an Imbued Swordskey, which you can find in a nearby chest, to pass through a portal
- Just after getting your hands on the key, use it to transport to the Chapel of Anticipation
- After that, ascend the stairs to enter the Chapel. As you walk into the chamber, you’ll see a dead maiden lying there
- Once you locate her, soak the fabric in her blood as if it’s a dye
- You will receive a notification letting you know that you have earned your position as an Elden Lord
