Today I want to talk about my Ice Sorceress upgrade process in Diablo 4 and provide you with leveling guides and Diablo 4 gold farming guides. We combined that with Chills, Freezes and Cold Fire to create a really fun and very smooth experience. Sorceress can use an Ice Shard spell to defeat the enemy.
In order to create build functionality in its most basic form, we need to solve 5 problems. Includes AoE, Single Target, Spirit Generation, Defenses, and Mobility. This guide addresses all of these issues to give you an Ice Sorceress leveling experience that will allow you to reach endgame with enoug Diablo 4 Gold in the smoothest possible way.
Gameplay And Mechanics
The mechanics of this build are simple. Ice Shard fires 5 projectiles that do not pierce enemies on their own. To do this, we need to combine this spell with Aspect of Piercing Cold’s Legendary power.
Ice Shards also have a 40% chance to bounce off the target and a 100% chance to bounce to frozen enemies.
Next, we’ll take a look at the spell’s Enchantment, which automatically summons Ice Shards and fires Ice Shards at frozen enemies. We can combine it with Frost Nova to freeze everything around us with AoE and launch Icicles at enemies. These Icicles will pierce them while ricocheting in all directions, dealing with some nasty AoE damage.
Hitting an enemy with either of these abilities also makes them vulnerable, which increases the damage the enemy takes by 20% and further increases the damage in a number of ways.
We can also use Shatter Keystone to accumulate and store the damage we deal to enemies while they are frozen. This will deal 25% of cumulative damage once Freeze ends.
However, if the boss is immune to Freeze, how do we use this Keystone? make them stagger.
That Bars below the boss’ Health Bar is populated by applying various CCs to them. Once it’s full, they suffer from various forms of CC, including Freeze. 25% of the damage we deal during this time will accrue through Shatter Keystone.
We can further combine this with passives like Hoarfrost and Legendary powers like control aspects to boost damage during this window. All of these Diablo 4 modifiers are combined with each other, including Vulnerability, Icy Touch, Permafrost, and Glass Cannon.
Cold Fire
Now, all this damage is based on Freezes and Chill, but where is Cold Fire? We introduced this with the second Enchantment. Fire Bolt causes all direct damage to deal with additional burning damage to enemies, regardless of dropping Diablo 4 Items type.
But we can go further and combine it with other effects and methods to amplify our total damage. Burning is damage in Diablo 4 that is effective against bosses no matter how they stagger the window. This makes passive abilities like Devouring Blaze, Fiery Surge and Warmth always applicable.
The first just increases your crit damage, but the other two are great for practical purposes. Fiery Surge increases your mana regen rate, while Warmth gives you the only source of health regen we’ve had so easily during Diablo 4 leveling.
Utility, Defenses & Mana
We have a defensive cooldown via Ice Armor, which gives us extra mana regeneration and a powerful barrier that replenishes while damaging vulnerable enemies. For the final slot, we’re going to Deep Freeze, an ultimate ability that encases you in ice, making you immune to damage for a short period.
Enemies around you will eventually be Freeze, which in turn is reminiscent of an Ice Shard. But the biggest benefit of this skill is the reduced cooldown of non-ultimate skills. Frost Nova, Ice Armor, and Teleport are all affected by this.
To take advantage of this, we’re also adding Prodigy’s Aspect, which restores a lot of manas when we use the cooldown. We can also combine all CC with Aspect of The Umbral to generate mana for each crowd controlled enemy.
Skill Trees
Note down each number except the corresponding node, indicating the order in which you should choose skills and passives. It tailored this skill tree for leveling. However, it also lays a good foundation for the endgame in Diablo 4.
Legendary Aspects
Every Legendary power player can earn by completing dungeon or story quests in Diablo 4, which lets you imprint them on gear at the lowest possible rate. Some of these are required to build features, so make sure to get them ASAP by clearing the corresponding dungeons!
Aspect Of Piercing Cold
First, Aspect of Piercing Cold. This enables Ice Shard to pierce enemies, which is essential for this build. You can get it by clearing Dead Man’s Dredge dungeon in Fractured Peaks.
Prodigy’s Aspect
Second, Prodigy’s Aspect restores mana after using the cooldown. This Aspect is great for bosses and is great at making sure you always have mana available. It can be obtained by clearing Hawezar’s Witchwater dungeon. So it is also the key aspect of this build.
Aspect Of The Umbral
Next up is an Aspect of The Umbral, which grants you mana generation whenever you control an enemy. You can get it by clearing Champion’s Demise on Dry Steppes. This is a very powerful Legendary Aspect for this build, but it’s not required.
Aspect Of The Bounding Conduit
Then we also get Aspect of The Bounding Conduit, which gives us a movement speed boost after using Teleport for 3 seconds. You can find this after completing Komdor Temple in Dry Steppes.
Ghostwalker Aspect
Another option is Ghostwalker Aspect, since we got an unstoppable buff during Teleport. This triggers Aspect and gives us a 4 second movement speed buff.
Aspect Of Control
Finally, there’s Aspect of Control, which greatly increases your damage against frozen enemies. You can find it in Sunken Library dungeon in Kehjistan. But never add Legendary Aspects to your arsenal. It just wastes your D4 Gold for sale and doesn’t do you any good since you’ll be changing weapons regularly.
Wrap Up
That’s it for my Diablo 4 Ice Shard Sorcerer leveling guide. But it’s also just a theory-making right now, as I can’t test it right now. If you are interested in this build, give it a try when Diablo 4 is officially released!
