The United States however did not legalize gambling until recently. Delaware became the first state in the USA to legalize gambling and opt for legal gambling through the Delaware Gaming Competitiveness Act in 2012. Online gambling was legalized in the year 2013 and was one of the first states to legalize it after Delaware. New Jersey has the availability of online gambling and sports gambling along with access to land-based casinos. Games like online poker and other forms of gambling are legal in this state. Not only that, New Jersey has the highest revenue among all states in the US, earning up to 1.4 billion cumulatively, with $25 million being generated in a year. Gambling is extremely popular in this state.
Like Michigan, gambling was legalized in Pennsylvania in 2019 but they had legal land-based casinos since 2017. The introduction of online gambling in this state has made gambling more popular overall and now players have access to most online casino games. The initiative taken by a few of the states in the US has led to the radical legalization of online gambling across the country.
