Aluminium is a remarkably helpful resource to keep an eye out for in Fallout 76. You’ll need it to craft a Workbench, which is basically one of the first things that you should be looking to build when starting out.
Aluminum is practically a requirement and you will want to keep a steady source of it constantly. Because of the”Degradation System” in Fallout 76, you will eventually have to farm a lot of Aluminum for repairs.

Aluminium Farming
Thus far we have only found one place that delivers a particularly high quantity of Aluminium. It is in the Eastern Regional Penitentiary.
This is a prison region that sits at the middle of this map, we’ve included a picture below. The place you are going to want to focus on is your cafeteria within the building.
It is, quite unsurprisingly, full of Dinner Trays. These could be collected and trashed at Camp to get Aluminium. Loading back into a new server will respawn the Trays too, so rinse and repeat!

When out searching for Aluminum at Fallout 76, make certain to head in the menu and then tag it. This will highlight all of Aluminium when looting.
It’s convenient to make certain that you don’t miss any while looting. You can either do so in the menu by highlighting Aluminium at a recipe, and pressing the tag button, or by heading into your inventory and tagging it .
