Deep Rock Galactic is a co-op FPS game developed by Ghost Ship Games. The game was offered as a free game download for those with PlayStation Plus. Also, when starting the Deep Rock Galactic game, you must go through a quick tutorial before being allowed to play with other players.
Like all tutorials, this Tutorial will provide an instant rundown of what all the buttons do. It is vital to mention that you will be given a task to figure out 2 specific minerals to mine, such as Gold and Morkite.
What is Morkite?
Morkite refers to the dark glowing, and crystalline mineral that you can figure out in different locations in Deep Rock Galactic. In addition, Morkite commonly generates huge veins on the caves’ walls, floors, and ceilings. Sometimes, you can even find Morkite in a small pocket apart from the main cave.

Where is Gold in Deep Rock Galactic Tutorial?
Gold is the first mineral in the Deep Rock Galactic game that you are tasked with mining it. Throw your flares out to get light in the area for more visibility. Also, you better look after a pillar close to the beginning of the Tutorial. It is worth mentioning that the gold does not look like gold from far away, especially with the color of your flares. Therefore, if you come close, you can see the gold easily and will recognize it well.

Where is Morkite in Deep Rock Galactic Tutorial?
Morkite is the 2nd mineral that you have to mine in the Deep Rock Galactic tutorial. When it comes to the Morkite spawn rate, then there are two definitions you must be well aware:
- Spawn Location: It is a physical place where Morkite can spawn no matter whether it is on the ground, on the wall, or on the high ceiling
- Spawn Possibility: This possibility refers to Morkite’s spawn chance on a mission. In the Deep Rock Galactic game, this chance is either 0% or even 100%, depending on the type of the mission

Below are the 3 types of missions where Morkite will spawn:
1. Tutorial Mission
It is vital to mention that when you first join Deep Rock Galactic, the management will guide you through the 1st mission in which you must figure out and mine around 100 units of Morkite. So, all you need to do is follow the instructions in order to reach through various caves and focus on any dark teal mineral, as that will be the first time you see Morkite.
2. Mining Expedition Mission
Now that you are done with the tutorial mission, you can now select and do the mission on your own. Even though there are over 7 missions in DRG, only the Mining Expedition mission can contain Morkite. Depending on the mission length and complication, you must mine from 200 and up to 400 Morkite each mission.
Furthermore, in the Mining Expedition mission, Morkite can spawn everywhere, such as beside walls, floors, or even the ceiling. You can also expect to find Morkite spawn in a hidden corner or the beginning room. Scout is beneficial because of his Flare Gun. However, one bullet can reduce the cave and disclose some Morkite veins.
Make sure to go as deep as you can to find more Morkite. The best strategy to easily find and mine Morkite is to run fast and straight to the final room or treasure room, as this room has many Morkite along with minerals.

3. Deep Dives
Deep Dives is the final or last place where you can find Morkite. Deep Dives are special long missions that include 3 normal missions in them. Moreover, each mission in deep dives has 2 purposes like normal missions, but they are randomly created.
Specifically, there is around a 12.5% chance you can play finding the Morkite mission as the major objective and 20% as the secondary objective. In addition, this percentage only occurs once per week. Therefore, figuring out Morkite in normal Mining Expedition missions is better.

5 Tips to Find Morkite in the Tutorial
Below are the 5 tips to find Morkite in the Tutorial:
- Make sure to keep working your way down the tunnel and into the other room(s).
- Look for brown dirt in order to dig through; it says ‘compressed dirt’ in case you hold Ctrl and aims your laser pointer at it
- Just hold TAB for your map and press space to place yourself in the direction your holding the map easily
- In the Tutorial and outside, there is always one room at the end of mining expeditions (the lowest point in the cave usually) that should have more than enough Morkite to complete the mission
- Make sure to keep working on your way lower; then, you will be able to figure out the Morkite
Conclusion
